CONNECTION
CREATIVITY
COLLABORATION

FAIR HARVEST - WARDANDI BOODJA - MARGARET RIVER

Land Art is Connection. An invitation to be in the moment, connect with the Land you are on and allow yourself to be led into a world of texture and colour. Being involved in the creation of Land Art is healing in itself; using our hands to collect and sort, as our ancestors did, our minds begin to slow and our awareness centres in through our senses to the Land.

While creating our artworks, we bring beauty into the world and find a deep sense of connection. There is no right or wrong in this process, the land and the materials will hold you. You are collaborating with the Land, listening, holding, honouring. Land loves to be acknowledged.

This weekend is about connection with your inner

quiet and Nature. A chance to be free from daily

life and to immerse yourself in the wonder,

peace and deep embrace of this precious earth.

I have been a site-specific artist for over 25 years, exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally. Nature is my refuge, my happy place. I love to share, collaborate and sit on Country together, creating symbols of Connection with all the incredible textures and colours found in Nature.

I have been practicing Buddhism and Dzogchen for 24 and 16 years respectively, with wonderful teachers from both lineages.  I have also been fortunate to sit closely with our local Wardandi Matriarch, Nan Viv - Vivian Brockman Webb and Daughter Wardandi Custodian, Mitchella Hutchins. Experiencing some of their ancestral wisdom and spirituality in connection to Country and their deep understanding of our role as custodians of this Earth.

Weekend Schedule

Friday Night
Under the dark moon, we are very fortunate to have a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Artwork Blessing with Wardandi Matrirach Nan Viv - and Daughter Wardandi custodian Mitchella Hutchins. A powerful and appropriate way to begin our collaborative artwork.

Saturday

Saturday morning - Loving Kindness Meditation
After breakfast, we will walk, collect and connect. You will have a chance to make your personal creation in your own chosen space, as well as creating a group artwork in Collaboration with others. There will be an option to create Land Art with clay and natural materials at a table sitting on a chair. These smaller works can be added into either artwork. This is good for those who would rather not sit on the ground for long periods of time.

Saturday night we will gather with Ailsa Blackwood for RMB breathe work.

Sunday
Sunday morning - Loving Kindness Meditation.
After breakfast we will walk, breathe, share and complete the artworks before a final shared lunch.

Loving Kindness

Each morning and evening, there will be an option to do Loving Kindness Meditation, warming our hearts whilst we remember we are a child in the glorious Universe of Life, with much to share.  You can practice Loving Kindness both in sitting and lying positions. This Buddhist meditation has been handed down from person to person for 2500 years.

Breathwork

On Saturday night, there is also an option to participate in Breathwork Mastery RMB. This beautiful intention-based practice, uses slow, non-directed, conscious breath, to integrate outdated thought patterns stored in the body. It is a conscious  move toward self freedom, authenticity, and how we would prefer our lives, and world, to be. Ailsa Blackwood is a free schooling mum of 3, Doctor (PHD) of Landscape Architecture, Writer, and RMB Breathworker.
